Huawei Cloud instance billing

Huawei Cloud instances use the Shared Nothing architecture and currently support only pay-as-you-go billing, charged by the hour based on actual usage. Prices on this page are for reference only. Please refer to the prices shown on the order page in the console.

Monthly cost estimates are calculated based on 730 hours per month and are for estimation purposes only. Actual charges are based on the billing center in the console.

Billing formula

  • Total hourly cost = Compute node price + Storage price
  • Storage price = Storage unit price ($ / GiB / hr) × Replica count × Storage capacity (GiB)
  • Each instance size has a minimum storage capacity. Actual storage usage cannot be lower than this value; usage beyond the minimum is billed at the storage unit price.
Note
  • Both 2-replica and 3-replica deployment modes are supported. The pricing table lists the compute node price and starting total price (calculated based on the minimum storage capacity for each size) for both modes. When actual storage usage exceeds the minimum, the excess is billed separately at the storage unit price × replica count.
  • Monthly cost = Total hourly cost × 730 hours.

Billing example

Suppose you deploy a Shared Nothing instance in CN-Hong Kong, with the 8 vCPUs 32 GiB size, 3-replica mode, and 100 GiB of storage (the minimum for this size), on pay-as-you-go billing:

Note
  • Flagship Edition instances and Transactional instances use different size nomenclatures but are priced identically (for example, a Flagship Edition 8 vCPUs 32 GiB instance corresponds to a Transactional 8 vCPUs 16 GiB instance).
  • The "Starting price" in the table is calculated based on the minimum storage capacity for each size, and includes storage charges. When actual storage usage exceeds the minimum, the excess is billed separately.
